A Visitors Guide to Baltimore

The following guide has been pulled together by the Baltimore Toffees:

Hello Fellow Toffees and Welcome to Baltimore!
We’re so thrilled to be hosting Everton Football Club and this amazing community of supporters. We’ve worked hard with the club to put together an enjoyable and memorable slate of events. It’s our hope to make each of you feel at home during your visit, whether you’re traveling from abroad or coming from elsewhere in the States, whether you’re in town just for Gameday or are spending a few days around Baltimore.

This guide is meant to serve as an overview of things to do, places to eat and, of course, the best spots to grab a pint. It is by no means a complete list; should you want more details or alternate suggestions, throw up a post on our social media channels – https://www.facebook.com/groups/baltimoretoffees/ or https://twitter.com/BmoreToffees.

Things to Do Around the City

Craft Breweries

Craft beer lovers, rejoice! Baltimore and the surrounding suburbs have more than a dozen breweries to choose from. Here’s a few of our favorites:

  • Guinness Open Gate Brewery – Located about 10 minutes south of the City in Halethorpe, this is the only place outside Ireland and Africa where the iconic label is brewed. A vast selection of experimental beers are made here (the Irish stout is only brewed in Dublin), which used to be a distillery.
  • Checkerspot Brewing – In the shadow of M&T Bank Stadium, this woman-owned brewery churns out consistently good beer and boasts a diverse on-tap menu.
  • Diamondback Brewing – Down in Locust Point, Diamondback is known for their clean, crisp lagers and excellent wood-fired pizzas.
  • Union Craft Brewing – A little farther away in North Baltimore, Union is one of Baltimore’s first craft breweries to hit it big. There’s always 20+ selections to choose from and they’re located in a former department store warehouse that also houses a coffee roaster, an ice cream factory, a distillery, a winery and more.
  • The Brewer’s Art – A brewpub in a historic building with excellent food. Located in Mt. Vernon. Go to the basement bar and try the Resurrection Amber Ale,
  • Ministry of Brewing – Located in a restored church on the city’s east side that dates to 1852, this is one of the nation’s most unique breweries.
